TIPS AND TRICKS

Creator Studio deep dive

October 24, 2018

Creator Studio has all the tools you need to effectively post, manage, and track performance of your content across all your Pages –

in one place.

It also makes it easy to take advantage of new features and monetization opportunities you may be eligible for! Let's dive in and see what it's all about...

One and all

With Creator Studio, you can create and manage your content across Facebook. That means a singular, hyper-focused place for you to track performance, manage interactions, and streamline video publishing across multiple Pages. You can also bulk upload videos to a single Page and unlock essential tools like in-stream ads, Sound Collection, and Rights Manager.

A tour of the tabs

With Creator Studio, there's plenty to see and do. Consider this your guide through some of its best features.

Home Tab: Here you'll find an aggregated Home Feed, your Top Priorities to act upon for your Page, high-level insights, plus any new products or programs you're eligible for.

Content Library: Explore and search across your entire content library for the Pages that you own, with post-level insights. When you navigate to the Posts tab, you can view all your video, photo, link and text posts, and over in the Crossposts tab you can view a list of videos ready to crosspost in one click.

Inbox: One inbox to rule them all! Your unified inbox simplifies communication, making it easy to manage interactions across all your Pages, respond to Facebook Messages and post comments, and Instagram comments.

Monetization: Use this tab to onboard eligible Pages to in-stream ads, review your monetization insights, see your monetized videos, manage block lists, and view payment related statements. You can also see Partner Monetization Policies* whether or not you're enrolled in in-stream ads.

Rights Manager: Protect your videos with a streamlined Rights Manager experience for approved Pages, built for the creator community so you can control where and how your original content appears.

Pages: In this tab, you'll get high-level view of all Pages...and the best part is you'll be able to see in-stream ads and Rights Manager status for each Page.

Creative Tools: Access Sound Collection, which is like a treasure chest of royalty free music and sounds that you can preview and download for your videos.

Understand your audience

Creator Studio's aggregated insights can help you optimize your content and manage your presence more effectively. With the Insights tab, you can see how your posts are performing so you can better target your audience based on these patterns. New loyalty insights help optimize retention on your videos, providing greater distribution and monetization opportunities.

Using the Insights tab in Creator Studio, you can:

View performance: Track watch time, view counts, and see how many people have followed (or unfollowed) you over a selected time period.

Monitor views and video completion: Track the number of unique video views for 3-second, 1-minute, and completed video for the selected time.

Understand user retention: See how many viewers from the previous week are returning this week to view your videos.

Check estimated earnings: Understand how your content is monetizing and how earnings are trending over time, along with key metrics like 1 minute video views, and your monetizeable view RPM (which is the pay out for every 1000 one minute view).

I have been using the Creator Studio for a few months now, and have found it really helpful and efficient. Beyond the ease of being able to share all my content from one place, the ability to see all of my insights in one location is extremely valuable in helping me make decisions about how to optimize existing content and create higher performing content in the future.
