Take your Live to the next level

Live is a great way to generate real-time engagement with fans and create an authentic connection. Since launching Live video on Facebook, users have made over 8.5 billion broadcasts and Live viewers increased in the U.S. by 50%, just during February and March 2020.

Take advantage of advanced streaming features like Live Producer, which is a new way to go live on Facebook using a customized set-up and streaming software. To learn more, check out our guide to Live Producer.

Going Live on Facebook immediately notifies your followers at the top of their News Feeds, enabling quicker discovery, a shorter path to tune-in, and almost immediate engagement. Live videos are also eligible for distribution in Facebook Watch, which helps more people discover your videos.

Bulk upload your back catalogue

Bulk features streamline video publishing so creators can efficiently add multiple new videos to series and playlists, and with a single click, enable features, such as rights protection, ads and auto-captions.

Use the new Bulk Uploader to upload up to 50 videos to one page in a single action. Also, edit titles and description, add tags, schedule posts, and choose other settings in-line, on the screen. Bulk Actions is now available with smarter editing tools for videos that have already been published, allowing creators to apply settings and ‘take actions’, both at the time of upload and in the content library.

Organize thematic content with playlists and series

We recently launched new ways for you to supercharge your publishing on Facebook with playlist and series. Playlists are a simple and flexible way to organize both new and existing videos into unserialized themes, and ultimately helps people discover your content on Facebook via related content recommendations.

Videos that are thematically-related perform best in playlists, while episodic content performs best in series. Both allow viewers to discover and watch your videos across Facebook Watch, Search and News Feed.

Whether you use playlists or series, curating content by theme provides the best viewer experience and gives Facebook stronger signals about when to recommend your content, increasing the likelihood that viewers will discover and watch your videos.

Create or join a challenge

Creating or participating in challenges spreads positivity and awareness for meaningful issues or causes. It’s a simple way to put your platform to good use and inspire your community to get involved.

Use your creativity to encourage your community to rally together to support a movement that’s meaningful to you. Get fans involved by asking them to post photos or videos to their Facebook or Instagram Stories around a theme or challenge and tag you, offering re-shares on your channel as a way to celebrate top participants.

Highlight your stories

Preserve and organize your top stories content around specific themes by adding them as highlights. The highlights stay even after the stories disappear and allow you to pull stories content from your Instagram Archives to keep it accessible. Use custom covers by posting the desired image in your stories and then to highlights. Highlights appear below your profile photo and remain visible as highlights until you remove them.
