You don't need to be brand new to Instagram or Facebook to apply. If you're accepted, you'll immediately be able to earn money across reels, longer videos, photos and text posts through Facebook’s invite-only Content Monetization program – plus earn up to $5,000 in extra Breakthrough bonuses to help you get off the ground during the first 90 days. Creators will also get access to a free trial of Meta Verified as part of this program.
To be eligible to apply, you must:
Be based in the United States.
Be 18 years of age or older.
Have an existing presence on a third party social app that you can link or already have linked during the application process. Note: Meta will calculate the bonus based on an evaluation of your social presence.
Have or create an Instagram professional account and Facebook Page.
Not be participating in any other Facebook monetization program.
Once accepted to the Breakthrough bonus program, you can earn up to $5,000 in total bonuses during your first 90 days.
To earn a monthly Breakthrough bonus, you must:
Share at least 20 reels on Facebook and 10 reels on Instagram posted natively within each app within each 30-day bonus period.
Reels must be public. Note: Sharing across apps does not count toward the bonus payout.
Share the content on at least 10 separate days within each 30-day bonus period.
The videos you share on Facebook and Instagram must be original content and must follow our Content Monetization Policies.
