Create a Facebook account
If you don't already have a Facebook account, start by creating one. This is your first step in establishing your presence as a creator.
Choose how you want to show up as a creator
Once you have a Facebook account, you need to decide between creating a Facebook Page or turning on pro mode on your profile:
Facebook Page: We recommend that established creators set up a Facebook Page as it allows you to assign admin and moderator roles to support page management and gives you access to advanced tools such as multi-admin access, full Ads Manager, Commerce Manager and Page API. This will be a separate presence from your personal Facebook profile. See How to create a Facebook Page.
Pro mode: This is ideal if you want to use your personal Facebook profile to build a public presence while maintaining your personal connections. See How to turn on pro mode. Note that pro mode profiles are not eligible for certain tools or programmes.
For more information, see Pro mode or a Page?
Complete your profile or Page
If you created a Facebook Page, select your username on desktop to determine your Facebook URL. Using a consistent username across social platforms will help your audience find you on Facebook.
If you selected pro mode, you can change your username in the Account Centre.
Well-established creators with an extensive history of media coverage can apply for a courtesy blue tick as a notable public figure. Alternatively, you can subscribe to Meta Verified.
Build credibility by linking your Instagram, TikTok and YouTube profiles to your Facebook profile or Page. You can also choose to display your follower count from these platforms. Watch this video to learn more.
Develop your content strategy
Facebook offers different content formats including reels, photos and text posts to help you express yourself, connect with new audiences and earn money on your own terms.
Reels are one of the most effective ways to get discovered by new audiences on Facebook. Start by posting reels a few times a week, and as you build your rhythm, aim for up to 2-3 times a day to maximise your reach.
Experiment across all formats and posting times to find what resonates with your audience. Each format helps you connect with your community in different ways.
Take a look at this guide to learn more.
Upload existing content
To help you gain momentum, leverage your existing content from other platforms. Make sure that you remove any watermarks to optimise your content's performance. You can also use Facebook's scheduling tools to plan and publish your content in advance.
Share your archive of up to 100 Instagram reels to Facebook with a few easy clicks. Here's how.

There are multiple ways to earn money while doing what you love.
In 2025, Facebook paid content creators nearly USD 3 billion through Facebook content monetisation alone.
Explore our monetisation opportunities
Facebook content monetisation is designed to reward you for the engaging content that your community loves and pays you for posting reels, photos and text posts based on your content's performance. You can also track your metrics to learn how to grow your views and watch time. The more people watch your content, the more you can earn. Learn more about eligibility requirements here.
Facebook affiliate partnerships makes it easier for you to team up with brands, share products with your community and earn more when your recommendations inspire a purchase. Learn how to start earning from affiliates here.
You can also receive recurring revenue through fan subscriptions and tips through Stars.

Engage with your audience
Make your audience feel valued by replying to and liking comments. Engaged followers are more likely to reshare your content and recommend your content to others. You can engage by navigating to posts directly, or by using the Comments manager tool in professional dashboard.
Find new audiences on Facebook
Collaborate with other creators and remix reels to put your own spin on trending topics and content.
You can also search for Facebook groups related to your niche or interests in the Facebook search bar. Participate in group discussions, share your content and build relationships with community members to connect with a broad audience that already shares your interests.
